Tied House: A Font
Font #17
Tied House is inspired by the lettering on two panes of long-hidden glass found in the 100+ year old Schlitz Tied House at 94th and Ewing in Chicago’s East Side neighborhood. The current owner of the bar found these two panes of glass (reading “CHOPS” and “DINNERS”) while renovating the space, and they will be rehung in their original locations once they are restored.
The bar has been previously known as the Dumbell Tavern, Joy Tavern, the Gay Tavern, Club Selo, The Sun Dodgers Club, Mike’s Club, Club Jo Jo, and JB’s Bamboo Lounge, and the building is currently being renovated and is now known as the East Side Tap.
This font comes in two styles: Normal and Hand-Drawn
